Parent Notification Module — School-Controlled, Optional
Schools can enable a parent notification module at their discretion. Parents are onboarded individually with a per-parent opt-in preference. The school administration controls all notification triggers and can pause or disable the module at any time. This module is not enabled by default.

At every stop, the bus assistant uses the mounted tablet to confirm each student as picked up or dropped off. A confirmation screen shows the student name and stop before logging — preventing accidental entries. Two seconds per student.

The school dashboard updates in real time. Admin sees which buses are active, where they are on the map, which students are on board, and the full log of events as they happen — from any browser, any device.

BusTrack tracks all compliance documents in one place — vehicle documents including insurance, road license, PSV certificate, and speed governor certificate, plus driver documents including driving license and PSV license per driver.
The system flags expired documents immediately and sends automated alerts 30 days and 7 days before any document is due for renewal — giving administration enough time to act before a bus is non-compliant on the road.

BusTrack integrates with most common Kenyan tracker brands — Teltonika, Concox, Coban, and others — via the Traccar open platform. If your buses already have trackers installed, no new GPS hardware is required. Tablet and mount per bus only.
